Before you can create, you must first understand reality and make it your own in some way.
I paint whenever I can, especially when I travel. I mainly work with gouache, and I see these paintings as a kind of data bank for my later concept art. It’s a way for me to study reality, light, and color, and to stay connected to traditional drawing.
